I’m so fired up about Easter I can’t wait…it’s going to be great!
I don’t like to beg…but I’m begging you PLEASE DON’T COME ALONE. We really believe this weekend is a great opportunity for you to invite someone to come with you. People are simply more open to coming on Easter than any other time of the year, so let’s get on it.
I asked everyone this past Sunday to be laser focused this week by…
#1 – Doing all that we can to invite people to church this weekend.
#2 – BEGGING God to do something amazing this weekend.
After all...He has a great track record of doing some pretty incredible things on Easter…dating back a little more than 2,000 years!
My prayer is that extreme desperation will lead to undeniable revelation…that people will show up this weekend and not be able to deny that Jesus is real!! That they WILL SEE HIM!! I can’t WAIT to see what happens!
Let’s INVITE…PRAY…and then show up anticipating great things!!!

Some Random Monday Thoughts
Thought I'd take a few minutes and just share with you some of the things bouncing around in my head and I wanted to catch you up now that I'm back from a week away with the two people I love most!
First on our trip to Disneyland...
First on our trip to Disneyland...
- This was our 4th time to go to Disneyland in the past oh...4 years give or take a month or so. We just love our time spent in Southern California and there's something really special about the time we spend together at Disneyland. We already are trying to figure out when we can squeeze in another trip out there.
- Going there always gets my creative side buzzing...that place just drips of creativity.
- Another thing that hit me (other than how much bigger Braden is than last time I carried him on my shoulders) is that Disneyland has got to be the most international piece of real estate on the planet. It shows a great demographic of humanity...and for me, that is translating into a greater vision for the multitudes.
- Who could have guessed going to a Disney park would be a source of that type of inspiration?
Thoughts from yesterday...
- I'm really loving our current series that we doing called "Fearless." I mentioned yesterday that the whole reason that we're doing it is because I truly believe until we release the fears that are holding us back we can never be all that God intends for us to be.
- REFUEL was legit! I feel like I could run through a brick wall after last night...and I'm finding my travel mug to be a very nice accessory to my day.
- The band played a few of the new songs we're planning on doing in our Easter service...I have to say “Rise and Sing” by Steve Fee...IT WAS INCREDIBLE. In fact, the band was INCREDIBLE all together today!
Easter is on the horizon...I am really excited!
- Invite some people to come with you Easter Sunday. And those people you've been inviting who haven't come yet...invite them again. So many times people think they are annoying people when they invite people to church…but doing so actually communicates to people that we care about them. (See Romans 10:14 and Romans 10:17)
- So many people who are not in church think that they need to clean up their lives so that they can go to church…which is why it is SO IMPORTANT for us to communicate to people that they can some as they are (and then we can trust JESUS to take them where they need to be!)
- I read a statistic once that said around 25% of all unchurched people said they would come to church if someone would just invite them to come!
- It IS a tad uncomfortable to invite people to church…but the goal of Christianity is NOT comfort but rather conformity to Christ, who COMPLETELY embraced a VERY uncomfortable cross in order that we may cross over from death to life!
- Easter is in TWO WEEKS…lets do all we can to make sure that those who need to be here are here…and then lets BEG GOD to do something amazing!
That's all for now...what are you thinking?

Abandon Blogging?
Hello out there blogging world.
I have been out of sorts with a crazy insane schedule here of late and haven't had time to even twitter much lately...let alone blog.
With that being the case I'm considering abandoning my blog and strictly sticking to twitter/facebook and just communicate things in shorter blasts.
I'd love to hear your thoughts...
Do you want me to keep blogging? If so...why?
Is it a good idea to just communicate in shorter bursts through other social networking sites?
Let me know what you think...your responses or lack there of will let me know which direction I'm going to take with this blog.

It Hit Me...
Today my heart was drawn to Psalm 51.
It seems like this Psalm is like a big drink of reality for our walk. David is praying to God and just pouring it out like everything about what’s really on the inside. Not bragging to God about what he had conquered or how he had done so great in another moment and not even comparing himself to the past leadership era (Saul).
That's when it hit me...we are experts at deflecting our sinfulness by exalting the blunders of another.
Not David...he takes it head-on. He acknowledges his failures and flaws. He gives a couple requests: wash me, purge me, make me – God does all that and more.
Lord, help me to continue to be awakened to the fact of my own lostness, my own wandering, my own need of You in every single area of my life, my home, our church, our mission. for without You, we have no chance.
Take a second if you can to check out psalm 51:10-11. It’s strong.
