"So You're Dead, Now What?" Homework

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad." - 2 Corinthians 5:10

Sunday as we began "So You're Dead, Now What?" we talked about some of the rewards that the Bible is specific about. I'm not sure how many different crowns will be in Heaven but the Bible does show five of them.

I didn't have time to go into where each of them were listed in the Bible so for your reference sake I thought I'd put some homework out here on the blog for you. Below is a list of the five the Bible is specific is about and where they're found so you can read it for yourself.
  • Incorruptible Crown - 1 Cor. 9:25-27
  • Crown of Rightesousness - 2 Tim. 4:8
  • Crown of Rejoicing - 1 Thes. 2:19-20
  • Crown of Glory - 1 Peter 5:4
  • Crown of Life - James 1:12, Rev. 2:10

I pray that you're living a life worthy of the rewards of God...

(A person’s) work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames. - 1 Corinthians 3:13-15
