Manhood Defined

I have always been intrigued by the search for what True Masculinity was. Especially in the context of Christianity. What does mean to be a REAL MAN?

I think this passage in Corinthians leads us to some real insight:
Manhood defined = “When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.” - 1 Corinthians 3:11

According to God’s Word a true man of God can be recognized by 3 features:
1) The way they speak.
2) The way they think.
3) The way they reason.

Let me break down what I think this means to the guys and the ladies seperately...

• GUYS: This verse gives us 3 specific areas to focus our attention on. If we desire to develop into men that glorify God with the lives He’s given us, then how we reason, think, & speak matters. Real Men desire the mind of Christ — They fight to take every thought captive — They speak from the abundance that flows from a new heart that Christ has purchased for them.
• LADIES: The same is true for you as you look toward the kind of males you want to pursue you. Do you allow yourself to be pursued by little boys? Do you want to be married to a child? Would you desire to spend the rest of your days babysitting? OR are the males around you spiritual studs? The way they reason/think/speak will never lie.

So here's the question I leave you with:

• GUYS: "Are you developing masculinity?"
• LADIES: “Am I attracting boys or men?”
