For better or worse... to have and to hold, from this day forward... Wedding vows are more than a declaration of love-they hold the keys for a strong lasting marriage.
Whether you hope to get married someday, or you've already tied the knot, join us this weekend as we discover what these words can mean for the future of your relationship.
NewLifers…I’m really excited about this upcoming series. I feel that there is great potential to impact marriages and people’s lives through this series.
I’m asking you to step up and help us invest in relationships and invite others to take a step toward faith.
This week, will you join me in praying for this coming Sunday at NewLife?
• Will you pray the “high risk, high return” prayer of asking God to use you to help someone?
• Will you invite at least one person a day for the rest of the week to come to NewLife with you this Sunday?
God desires that we make a difference in lives. NewLife is all about connecting people who are far away from God to God. Who will you connect this week?
Let’s pray it up big time and invite like crazy and watch God change lives!
Thank you for loving God and loving others…

Random Tuesday Thoughts
Taking a few minutes to reflect after a loooonnnnggg weekend!
- This past Sunday we concluded our 'Life. Money. Hope.' series at NewLife. What a powerful series from beginning to end. God used it to remind me of so much...and even showed me some new things that I'd never thought of before!
- One of the keys to financial freedom is NOT getting “more” from God…but rather managing properly what He’s already blessed us with!
- To say that we aren’t blessed is to mock the graciousness of God!
- God will not trust us with MORE if we are not honoring Him with what we have NOW! (Luke 16:10-12)
- Jesus didn’t say, “pray this prayer to get out of hell,” He called His disciples to follow Him…which means He gets EVERYTHING, our BEST, not our leftovers!
- God is an incredible giver (John 3:16) who gives indescribable gifts (II Corinthians 9:15).
- Alot of people don't understand why we would choose to do a series on money and getting out of debt. We hear it all the time...Why do you preach on money? The answer is REALLY simple...Because marriages are torn apart by it…people lose hope because of it…and THE BIBLE HAS TONS TO SAY ABOUT IT!
- It amazes me that some churches are silent on the issue of finances when the Bible ISN’T silent on that issue!
- At NewLife we will NEVER apologize for teaching about finances!
- Truth be told...the reason the Gospel isn’t advancing as fast as it should be is NOT because of God…but because of GREED among people who claim they are following Him.
- I have heard people say that they cannot afford to tithe…I have personally discovered that I can’t afford not to!!!
On to not so serious things:
- I'm sooooooo glad that College Football season has started!
- Can't wait to see my TCU Horned Frogs take on Virginia this weekend!!
Lastly...
Sorry for the long spaces in between posts. As many of you already know the staff at NewLife is in the process of reading the Bible in 90 days. I haven't found much time to blog but my goal is that when the 90 days is over I'll spend some time sharing what God has been teaching me through our current sprint through scripture! It's been very challenging and very rewarding!!
See you this weekend at NewLife as we 'Kick Off' a new series called Lift High!

Happy Birthday Braden
Braden:
• I can’t believe today you turn 5!
• I love you buddy!
• Hearing you say “dadda” was one of THE most awesome moments in my life.
• I pray daily for your salvation…the thing I want the most out of your life is for you to be in heaven with your mother and I.
• God has used you to teach me so much about HIS unconditional love.
• Seeing you smile ALWAYS makes me smile.
• I love going to ball games with you! I hope you never get tired of going to games with your ole dad!
I could go on and on. You have grown up so much…it seems like I just blinked and you are now five. I’m afraid to blink again…I know if I do you’ll be twelve, then graduating high school, then college…
I want you to know you’re incredible. And I know that I will make some mistakes as your dad; however, I hope you know that I will always…
• Love your mother.
• Love you.
• Beg God to give me wisdom on how to raise you.
• And tell you about Jesus.
Braden–Happy Birthday…you are a gift from God to your mother and I…and I will never take you for granted. You are an amazing son–God has an incredible plan for your life…and I can’t wait to see it unfold.
