Well between school getting out and finishing up tee-ball things have been pretty hectic lately. I enjoyed a quiet morning at home this morning catching my breath.
It always seems that when things get busy blogging is the first thing that I cut from my schedule. Twitter doesn't help either...because I can hammer out a quick thought or let everyone in on what I'm doing and it takes so much less time.
Now that summer is here my schedule is going to really free up but I don't think I'll be blogging anymore than I have been here lately. With vacation and time off scheduled you might want to follow along on twitter because if I update anything anywhere that will be where.
Before I close this out I just wanted to post a few closing thoughts on our last series Practical Atheist.
- You and only you can answer the question: "Are you who you say you are?"
- As followers of Jesus Christ we are called to completely submit to His authority in EVERY area of our lives…we don’t get to pick and choose.
- I think that people who follow Christ out of convenience do more damage to God’s Kingdom than those who do not follow Christ at all!
- I really fear that Christianity for many people has been reduced to, “live however you want…just show up at church every once in a while and you will be fine!” The only problem with that is that I can't find that ANYWHERE in scripture!
We start a new series this weekend and I am so pumped about it!!! One Prayer and the theme this year is "God Is..." I am excited about you getting to hear from some of the leaders who are influencing me. Keep in mind...who is preaching isn’t important–what is being preached is…and we will always make sure that what is being preached is JESUS! You won't want to miss any of this series.
NewLife...I love you guys! If you missed any of the Practical Atheist series I think you should listen to what you missed. Email us and request a copy or we'll give you information on how you can download it.
I praying for you...
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spiritof wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.

This series challenged me in many ways. Thanks for having the courage to be transparant and call thing like they are. We will all be better for it.
It's great how people can have so much faith in Jesus/Buddha/Mohammad/etc without a shred of evidence.
More power to you.
Thanks n8. It's great to know you are standing behind me.
Timhoustontx - I do have alot of faith in Jesus and I feel my faith has brought me much evidence. I'm glad you stopped by the blog and would love to hear your story sometime.
